Culture of Afghanistan

  • Anistan's culture is mainly influenced by Islam, but also Hinduism, Buddhism and Zeroastrianismo. This is because Afghanistan has been a crossing to India, Iran and Central Asia, thus influencing their culture.
 


  • Originally the art was done mostly by men, but recently, Afghan women have taken an important position in the performing arts. 

  • Religious holidays are celebrated according to the lunar calendar and the other holidays are celebrated according to the solar calendar (Independence Day and New Year). These days, Afghans visit their relatives and friends, prepare lavish meals and pray their prayers together.

  • Almost all the art of Afghanistan is Kabul Museum. Other forms of art are in Afghanistan, music and poetry.

The women consists of a dress and a fabric that covers the face. However, after the fall of the Taliban, many men and women have changed the way they dress.
