CARAVAN RESTAURANT

 On my last vacation, when I went to Kabul, Afghanistan with my family, we visited Caravan Restaurant for dinner, because it was the birthday of my sister, this restaurant is located in the city center in a wonderful place. Also, “Caravan restaurant” is the second most important in Kabul, because it has the best service and atmosphere and it is visited for many famous people on birthdays and important celebrations.

When we arrived to restaurant, the waiter directed us to the table we had reserved, then take us a wine cup, and showed us the menu; we chose the best and delicious dish in the restaurant. The dish name is “Ashak”. The dish are dry tortillas with corn and veal bake in a sweet and sour sauce, it is the best dish I have eaten in my life! We didn’t eat dessert because we were full.

After dinner, in this restaurant present a dance show depending on the event that is, for example, birthdays, weddings, or important social events. The atmosphere is excellent because the music is very nice for any occasion, and this place is quiet, but the colors of the walls make the place spectacular, this restaurant was the one to celebrate the birthday of my sister because she was very happy and liked dinner.

Caravan restaurant is very expensive, but the portion is good for me, for example the dish that my sister eat is expensive but is big, she drank “Mast”, it is very popular in Afghanistan because is the most traditional for the lunch, and it is very cheap, although my parents and I didn’t drink it, we drank  soda or wine.

The service was good, because the waiters and owner were very friendly and serviceable with us, they also gave him my sister a few traditional cookies for his birthday, she was very happy because de cookies were delicious. When we left the restaurant the waiter came to give us candy and we did tip for excellent service. My family and I were pleased with this restaurant, because it was the best we've visited and also their service is good and the atmosphere is cozy.

LE JARDIN RESTAURANT

 

When I was in Afghanistan with my family we went to a dinner in a popular restaurant named “Le Jardin”. This restaurant is located in Kabul city. Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan. “Le Jardin” is the most popular restaurant in this city. This night, before going to eat, a friend had recommended us this restaurant and we booked a table.

Then when we come in a restaurant, we were happy because the restaurant was very elegant and comfortable. After the waiter brought us the menu. We looked a menu but we didn’t know that order. We ordered a traditional dish of Afghanistan. It is rice, mantu and salad. Mantu is a mashed of meal. It was exquisite and then we could find a lot of delicious desserts.

This is a very romantic restaurant. It is elegant; the decoration in this place is very attractive. You can go to this restaurant with your family or with your couple. When we were eating there, a couple was celebrating their anniversary. They were happy because the restaurant us perfect for this type of event.
